Wood Fences

Wood fences are a sturdy, long-lasting privacy and security feature for your yard.

To build a solid fence, you need a solid foundation. We begin our wood fences by setting galvanized steel posts into Maximizer Concrete. These particular materials are important because galvanized steel doesn’t rust, and Maximizer Concrete is 40% stronger than regular concrete.

Mulch and other material can rest against the bottom of your fence causing your pickets to rot or decay.  We offer 2” x 6” treated pine rot boards to prolong the life of your fence by keeping your pickets free of dirt and debris.

Our standard fences stand 6’ or 8’ tall but can be customized for any need. We offer spruce and western red cedar pickets in 3.5”, 4” and 6” widths. When choosing a material, know that the shelf life of a spruce fence is approximately 10 years while the shelf life of a western red cedar fence is roughly 25 years.

Each picket is nailed to untreated cedar rails with stainless steel nails. We insist on stainless steel nails and untreated lumber because we want to build you a fence that will look as good in years to come as it does the day we build it. Regular nails will cause rust bleeds over time, and treated runners are guaranteed to warp. By choosing quality products, we can confidently stand behind the integrity of our fences.

For a polished look, finish your fence off with a 1” x 4” facial board and a 2” x 6” top cap.

All residential passenger gates have a latch mounted 52” from the ground. These gates are self-latching and self-closing in accordance with city ordinances.

Wrought Iron Fences

If you’re looking for a maintenance-free fence that will stand the test of time, a wrought iron fence is for you!

We begin our wrought iron fences with 2” x 2” powder coated galvanized steel posts.  This particular material is important because galvanized steel doesn’t rust.  Powder coating the steel assures a flawless, glossy finish that will never need to be re-finished!

Wrought iron fences come in 3’, 4’, 5’ and 6’ heights that are mounted to 5/8” powder coated galvanized steel rails using brackets.  We choose brackets over welding because over time, welding will rust and need to be maintained while brackets are maintenance-free.

Privacy and security are two main concerns for our customers, and wrought iron will not disappoint!  Western red cedar pickets can be installed between each of the wrought iron posts to provide the same privacy as a wooden fence.  If you enjoy the more open look of a wrought iron fence but have security concerns, 24” doggy bars can be installed to keep small pups and toys securely in the yard.

Customize the look of your fence by choosing one of three finials to finish it off.

Standard wrought iron passenger gates measure 4’ wide and are self-closing.  For additional protection, child safety latches can be added.  Additionally, we can create driveway and double driveway gates up to 20’ wide in either a rectangular or arched style.  The same finials and optional western red cedar or doggy bar inserts can be added to your gate for a seamless look and protection.

  • No welding = No rusting = No worrying

Our Work

Testimonials

We first hired Northeast Fence in 2013 to replace the fence at one of our rentals, after seeing their sign on many other fences in the area.  Roy and Kevin did a great job at a fair price and we have used them four more times since.  The quality of materials and workmanship and the customer service are always excellent – Northeast  Fence is our “go to” fence company!

Northeast fence and Roy made us feel like family. His attention to the project detail went far beyond what we expected.

The fence is absolutely beautiful and we couldn’t be more pleased.

Residential Customer

My company does construction work, so I know a lot about the cost of materials. I had a lot of guys bid our job, and a lot of them added extra stuff just to drive their costs up. We ended up going with Northeast Fence cause Roy was just real honest. He gave us a fair price and didn't up sell us where it didn't add value. Great guy to work with. Highly recommend.

We considered five companies when choosing someone to build our fence. We chose Northeast Fence because they were so honest about their costs and their timelines. They didn't over-promise, but they definitely over-delivered!

Courtney Porter
Residential Customer

While my wife and I built a new home, we worked with a ton of contractors, and one of our biggest pet peeves was when they missed timelines. We had a pretty narrow window to get the fence in, but Roy and his team were confident they could do it, and they did not disappoint!

A fence is an investment, and I was nervous about mine. Roy was so awesome - he helped me weigh all of the decisions and decide what was right for me. I never felt pressured. I am so pleased with my new fence. Northeast Fence exceeded all of my expectations!
